This was one of my very first class projects were I was tasked with listening to a song, finding a story behind it, and then representing it with a model. My design was based on Tom Waits recording of Coney Island Baby found on the Blood Money albulm.

This model is based on the bar scene of the play Machinal by Sophie Treadwell with the tasks of utilizing German expressionism and making it to scale. The angled booth seating would cause actors body positions to shift based on the intimacy of their conversation. The large bar area in the back would have made access to the alcohol, and therefore freedom and liberation, impossible without someone to retrieve it for you. The lighting would change not only in color but delivery angle when the protagonists mindset would shift.
